Who handles your data

What data we collect and why

Availability request. If you fill in the form, you send us your name, email, phone number (optional), dates, number of guests and the notes you write. We use them only to answer your request and, if you book, to manage your stay or event. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
WhatsApp, phone and email. If you contact us this way, we use the data you send only to reply to you. WhatsApp is a Meta service, with its own privacy policy.
Technical data. Like every website, the server hosting the site records technical data about visits (IP address, browser, time) to run and protect it.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. We do not send newsletters without your consent.

Who receives it

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which also receives the form messages and forwards them to us by email. Netlify is based in the United States: the transfer takes place with the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses). We do not use any other providers that process this data.

How long we keep it

Requests that do not become a booking are deleted within 12 months. The data of people who stay with us or organise an event is kept for the time required by tax and legal obligations (for example the registration of guests with the police, the Questura).

The site does not use profiling cookies or statistics that track you. It only remembers your cookie choice, in your browser (local storage), so it does not ask again at every visit.

Google Maps. The Contact section has a Google map. It stays off until you turn it on: only then can Google set its cookies and receive your IP address. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, object to it or receive it in a readable format, by writing to info@villasannicolino.it. If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you can contact the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
